How to reach us

By Train.
Once arrived at Santa Maria Novella railway station, take the right exit (the one with stairs), walk down the stairs and cross the tramway. Then head to the right down to “Via Alamanni”. At the first crossing turn left and walk down onto “Via degli Orti Oricellari”. Once you have reached the next crossing turn left and walk down onto Via della Scala. You will find Hotel Adler Cavalieri on the left side of the street after approx. 50 mt. (Via della Scala, 40).

By Plane.
Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci Airport is 5 km away. You can reach the hotel by taxi or by taking public transportation to the Santa Maria Novella station. From the station, follow the directions in the “By train” section.

By Car.
From Milan/Genova/Pisa – A11 highway exit “Firenze nord”
Take Viale Guidoni and follow directions  “Centro”
Keep driving straight ahead for approx km. 2.
– Immediately before the 5th traffic light turn right into Via E. Forlanini direction “Centro”, “Fortezza”
When you get to the roundabout go left  into Viale F. Redi, direction “Centro”, “Fortezza”
Keep driving straight ahead until the end of the boulevard
– At the traffic light, cross Viale Belfiore, keep your left and follow directions to the “Fortezza” driving into Vial Guido Monaco
Keep your right and drive straight ahead until the next traffic light
– Keeping driving straight ahead pass the traffic light and drive into Via Alamanni
Drive straight ahead, pass the railway station and, at the following traffic light turn right into Via S. Caterina da Siena
At the following traffic light turn right into Via della Scala
The Hotel Adler Cavalieri is situated in Via della Scala n. 40, on the right side of the street

From South (Rome/Naples) – A1 highway exit “Firenze Impruneta”
(Siena/Grosseto) – exit “Superstrada Firenze-Siena-Grosseto”
Follow directions to Florence driving through the villages Bottai and Galluzzo
Follow directions to Porta Romana (which is a big square with a roundabout and a T statue in the middle)
– Keep driving into Viale Ariosto (along the old walls)
– Keep driving past Piazza Tasso, Viale Aleardi  until the end of the boulevard
– Drive into Piazza Pier Vettori and follow directions Ponte della Vittoria
Cross Ponte della Vittoria and take the underpass ahead of you
– Go past Porta al Prato traffic light and keep driving onto Viale Fratelli Rosselli
At the following traffic light (immediately before the railway bridge) turn right into Via Alamanni
Drive straight ahead, pass the railway station and, at the following traffic light turn right into Via S. Caterina da Siena
At the following traffic light turn right then into Via della Scala
The Hotel Adler Cavalieri is situated in Via della Scala n. 40, on the right side of the street

VERY IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE: Access to historical centre of Florence (ZTL) is prohibited and monitored by cameras everyday from 7.00 am to 7:30 pm, and on particular occasions also at night.
Our hotel is outside ZTL. However, should you run into one of these cameras, when you get to the hotel, don’t forget  to inform the front desk staff in order to have your fine waived. Make sure you don’t drive in the bus ways, because in that case we won’t be able to help you avoid getting fined.
